I would just like to say thanks to Jonny, Dave and the entire Five team. You did an excellent job and your world series coverage had to be the best ever. I really hope you guys return next year and for many more years after that  I just hope people who make the decisions realise the job you do for baseball in this country. Cheers Dave, I can honestly say that I for one would not be as passionately ensnared by the wonderful addiction we know as baseball without the fine coverage from everyone at five. I started watching in the middle of the 2003 season and the pure passion for the game that was so evident from both yourself and Jonny got me hooked straight away. As time has gone on it's really come to feel like I've been sititng up watching baseball into the night with two really good friends and I can't thank you enough for that. I can only hope that the team gets to continue its superb coverage next year, but if not good luck with whatever you get up to in the future. Thanks again. Jonny May

Would like to take the oppurtunity to thank everyone who has worked to bring us the best coverage this year, and although great to see a new world champion its also sad that for now its all over. Hope this is not a goodbye message for ever Big Dave, need u and the J man back next season so u can watch the yankees win another title. Dave, just to reiterate what everyone else is saying, it's a real pleasure to watch you and Jonny throughout the Baseball season (and Post-season games). The team works really well and puts out a fantastic show year in, year out. You guys were a major factor in getting me hooked on this game, and I bet that's true of most of us on here. As someone else has already said, the way you guys cover the sport, it feels like we're all part of an extended family, rather than just viewers watching tv professionals. Your coverage of this year's WS in particular was absolutely superb, and I hope that MLB realises what an excellent champion for the sport in has in you guys. Dave, At the risk of sounding like a scratched record, thanks a lot for providing a quality of coverage which matched one of the best world series I've seen. Have been watching C5's baseball since 'discovering' coverage of Game 7 of the Indians/Marlins WS and have been there ever since. Taped all of the games this year and, incredibly, never felt the need to 'fast forward' between innings, such is yours and Jonny's talent for keeping the viewer interested. As an Indians supporter, it's through gritted teeth that I acknowledge that the best team won the big one this year. The Sox started the year with a 1-0 win at Jacobs Field, led the division for the whole year and found their feet again at the right time just when they were up against the wall in September. They finished the season with a carbon copy 1-0 win away from home again - I don't begrudge the White Sox their success one iota. I sincerely hope we get to see you both on our C5 screens next year - to lose such a high quality, valued piece of sports coverage on our screens would be a disaster. All the best Zed

As everybody else has said, I hope you, Jonny, Erik, Josh and the rest are back next season. For me, the banter is as much a part of baseball as the seventh innings stretch, the world series and the home runs. Without it I doubt the events of Tuesday night / Wednesday morning would have been a hundredth as enjoyable, and that can be said for every single game that you guys have covered. If it is not to be however, I wish you all the best in your future endeavours.

Nice one, Dave. All in all, good coverage. Shame it ended in four again though - I was itching of it to go at least 5 games. Cheers to yourself, Jonny, Josh and Erik for providing decent coverage throughout the season. Shame nothing is guaranteed for next season regarding MLB on 5, but hey - if another channel decide to pick up the rights, I’m sure they won’t need to look far for a team of presenters and producers who can make the show work. Hope it stays on five though; I think it's best on terrestrial TV as it goes out to a bigger audience. Cheers John

Dave, when I watch sport on the tv i usually turn it of when the live action has finished, as i find it really boring to listen to ex pro.s witter on and on. In contrast I actually lokked forward to the between innings stuff, whether it was the good the bad etc., missing in action, or just you two guys being amazed at each others terrible dress sense (honstly Dave ditch the orange sweatshirt) it was always a joy to watch. As someone else already wrote we look upon you guys as friends not presenters, even though I was always learning about the game while I laughed along with the two of you. Nice touch to have both Eric, and Josh heavily invovled on screen again this year. Hope we get to do it all again next year Steven Reid.

Dave My thanks to you and the rest of the team for such a great year. I hope to see you in the hot seat again next year. I love the banter and bonhomie between you and Jonny, particularly the looks you give to camera when Jonny is being especially insulting. This year with your help I have got more into the statistical side of the game, obviously a big part but one that I hadn't fully grasped before. Finally I hope this isn't goodbye to you as you and Jonny are such a big part of my year. I watch the games on video over the days between shows and if I am pushed for time I will sometimes watch the games on fast forward stopping for any major plays - but I never fast forward between innings, I couldn't do that to you! with very best wishes ayjay

Right back atcha Dave, it has been a great pleasure watching Baseball with all you guys at FIVE. Your own partnership with Jonny has been highly entertaining and made many a dull game a joy to watch. Everyone who works so hard on every show (and even outside of normal hours, filming the SB event etc) has the appreciaiton of all Baseball fans in the UK, the game would not be where it is now were it not for all you guys and the great work you do to promote and develop Baseball in the UK. You didn't just make a TV show, you brought a new sport to thousands of new fans and gave it a foothold in new territory. Not many shows have achieved that so congratulations for a job well done. You can ALL be very proud of your work and should know how much it is valued by us.
