| Hi, newbie yankees fan here. Been a supporter of other NY teams for a while, namely Giants, Knicks and Rangers and thought it was time to nail my colours to one of the MLB teams in the city. Opted for the Yankees not because they're the current world series holders but because I enjoy watching them and like the way they play. |

No apologies needed, believe it or not we need more Yankee fans round here. Red Sox/Yankee rivalry on here has cooled over the last 12 months. Welcome to the forum though, and can commend you on two of your other teams (Knicks & Rangers), but afraid not the other one.
Any questions about the site or anything else then don't hesitate to ask, it's a very friendly forum here and everyone is always willing to help in any way they can. |

Agreed, any fans from the Al East are great, especially Yanks/Rays, as this division/wild card race is going to the wire.

I'm a newbie too (with no current affliation to any team. Just really starting to love the game after a few months of watching it) and have been welcomed with open arms. There's some great lads on here and their knowledge of the game is 2nd to none

Hi all,
Thanks for the positive welcome, its good to see such a wide range of clubs represented by fans here. Another (lesser) reason I'm a Yankee's fan is its much easier to catch a Yankees game that it is most other clubs. Oh yeah and my mate has that 'who do you look like' ap on his Bebo page and I tried it and got the result of I bear a 64% likeness to Derek Jeter, but I can't see it personally. |

Hey, nice to see another Knicks fan...Also, I think you're gonna have to post pic to prove if you do or you don't look like Jeter  |
