No tours of Yankee Stadium on game days - was how it used to be - assume it still is now. |
So is it no tours on day-games or all home games?
Maybe I should write to them and check.
THANKS!!! |

I was in NYC three weeks ago and decided to take the water taxi to the game. It collects on the East River at East 34th at 12 noon for afternoon games and takes around 35 minutes. They serve cold drinks including Bud and beats the stuffy, sweaty subway any day!
The boat drops you no more than 500 yards away from the stadium and leaves 30 minutes after last out. |

Cheers for that Frankie - I was thinking of doing that last time I was over, but didn't in the end. I may have to reconsider next time now |

No problem. I think you can book the tickets via stubhub or as a package from the Yankees official ticketline. We just payed on the day without any problems.
The ferry is not the usual yellow Water Taxi that you will see every 30 minutes or so but a white ferry that follows closely behind the 12 noon yellow boat.
If you have a day like we did (28 degrees) there is nothing better than catching the breeze with an ice cold Bud on the way to the game. The ferry was full of families and had a really nice relaxed atmosphere.
I definitely consider the boat trip and game (CSW 3 -12 NYY) one of the highlights of my weekend in NYC. |

It's called the Yankee Clipper and tickets work out at £16 return for an adult and £12 return for children under 12. Children under 3 are free.
I'm not sure how this compares to a return ticket on the subway but I think it's worth it (especially as our hotel was on East 34th St!) |
